Shot some photos at Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs
Eat a manly pile of Louisiana Gumbo at Doodad's Louisiana Cafe in Manitou Springs Co.
There is a restored 1950's (?) pin ball and skeeball arcade in Manitou Springs Co. I came back at night and took photos with my D800. I watched Kansas City beat NY Mets in game 4 of the World series at a local pub.

The view outside the window - behind you, at Doodad's - looks just like how I remember CO Springs. Bright blue sky, mountains, and newish, clean-looking, but nondescript buildings.
ReplyDeleteMary. That's right that section of town has less color than the older longer in the tooth place for the 'locals' down 3 blocks. At the other end of town there is less gloss and polish more sticky floors and Dixie Chix tees (no merino wool or ibis wear anywhere). The arcade area is very cool and interesting though. Lots of atmosphere.
