White Sands National Monument, Allison at Fountain Hills Artsfest 2015

White Sands National Monument in southern New Mexico. Every where I looked there was a photo.  I got lost again. But this time I was smart enough to take a reading at the truck so I found my way back to the road with my compass.   60 degrees was direction I walked to find the road.
Allison and I went to the Fountain Hills Arts Festival outside Phoenix.  I bought her some earrings that used three ear piercings/ear. I might take all morning to get them in right.
White Sands sand dunes.  I got lost because I walked willy nilly back into the dunes at undesignated spots.  When I turned around everything looked unfamiliar.
Paul at the Mojave Desert.  John L and I went here to do the wind mills.  The cactus's were called Joshua Tree.

White Sand in White Sands NM

White Sands National Monument near Las Cruses NM

It looks like snow drifting across he access road but really its the ground up gypsum the white sands are comprised of. It's not really like sand at the Pacific and Atlantic beaches its more like some kind of power.

In New Mexico they have these customs inspection stations 100 miles from the Mexico border. The inspectors had fire arms.

In Pool, Frontier Restaurant, Snow Santa Fe

In the whirlpool at Tamaya Resort 930pm Fri.  I love this part.  It's 45F outside (I'm outside ) the water is hot.   The whirling is turned off at this moment but I turn it on and look at the stars.  I could  see Gemini even through my foggy glasses.
Above:
After the whirlpool I took some photos of the pool. I love the fog. I shot a number of pictures. I was a little worried I was going to get called on it because 100 hotel windows face the pool.   "Hey Sylvia, there's a weird guy in wet TJ Max running shorts shooting photos of the pool in the dark. Shall I call someone?"
Below:
Frontier Restaurant Albuquerque NM. This is where all the Univ/NM students eat lunch and do some homework. I had #1 on the breakfast menu but I substituted a pancake for some Mexican thing I didn't understand.

There was 1.5" of snow on 'Ol Bessy the other morning in Santa Fe. 7000 feet above sea level. Taos is 9000'.

I'm attending Soularize at Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort. It's a spiritual program of 3 days duration. It can be challenging at times because we are made to go into our shadow and deal with things (so to speak). It's works for me. The rituals can be powerful. Mostly the other participants are clergy or people that dedicate their lives to helping others spiritually. The fellow at lunch today was describing what it's like doing centering prayer for the inmates at Folsum Prison in Calif. He's been doing it for years.  We get up with the sun, walk across this field and do meditation/contemplation (praying in silence) after a dedication type talk. There is a lot of frost on everything.

The Shed Santa Fe, Indy 500 Garage, Arcade Manitou Springs

Arcade area Manitou Springs.  Note the silver haired model (self timer & tripod used). There was quite a number of vintage arcade games like skeeball, punching bag and pin ball filling up 4 separate buildings all under a large wooden roof.  There was a lot of old time atmosphere. 1950's -1960's I estimate.
Desk at Indy 500 Racetrack.  1970's era actual race car shop.  Very cool atmosphere. It's was like going back in time.
Indy 500 RaceTrack.  1970's actual race car and garage.
Abandoned lumber yard.  Wilson Kansas.  I walked around the town some before I ate at Grandma's.
I had #11 special, taco and enchilada at The Shed in Santa Fe NM.  The building is 400 years old
it was first occupied  by a Spanish officer and family that was attempted to suppress local native indian uprisings. They resisted Spanish rule for a while and then they gave in.
